story writing i got a magic train ticket, that took me to

Answers

Answer 1

I got a magic train ticket that took me to another universe. In that universe, there were purple trees and green rivers. The grass was blue, and the sky was orange. The people there were all different shades of grey, and they wore rainbow hats, dresses, trousers, and shoes. They spoke a language that I did not recognize, but I understood. They were asking if I wanted to stay, or return to Earth. They gave me 24 hours to decide. I played games with them and ate with them. One thing I realized was that no one was different than anyone else. They all looked the same. But being different is important, and differences should be celebrated. So, when they came to me for my final answer, I said, "I would like a ticket to Earth, please." They looked at me sadly, and gave me the ticket. I got back to Earth and looked around. No one looked exactly like everyone else. This place, I thought to myself, is where I should be.

Is standardized testing necessary to measure how much students learn in school?

Answers

My opinion is no because that can be determined by letter grades and quiz and test grades
I think standardized tests give all students an equal education. because it helps teachers teach what is important for students to know, not what they think is important. It helps students who move from school to school or from one state to another to be at the same place in their learning as the same grade or same school age students. It mostly tells schools & teachers if the material & manner in which they are teaching is working to reach most students. If their were no standards in teaching then schools & teachers would have no road map of what is most important for them to teach. All schools teach in order for students to be able to be successful in college, even if individual students do not have that path. They may decide later in life to attend college & they will have the base they will need, because they were taught it. That is the whole purpose of standardized tests. It makes sure the school are doing their job.

The two parts of a good thesis statement are it's topic and claim

The sentence that summarises a writing assignment's core topic serves as the thesis statement and aids in organising the ideas that will be included in the paper. It is more than just a subject. It frequently reflects the writer's assessment of a piece of literature or a personal encounter. A thesis considers a topic or issue that is distinct and clear:

The topic being discussed should be carefully defined and highlighted in the thesis statement. The thesis statement should include a specific, debatable claim or assertion regarding the issue. The thesis statement should also include the key justifications or arguments that were used to support the assertion or claim.

What are the 3 elements of a conclusion?

Answers

The conclusion of an essay has three major parts Answer: the thesis statement, revisited, Summary: main points and highlights from the body paragraphs and Significance: the relevance and implications of the essay's findings.

In a non-fiction book, the conclusion is the closing section that states the concluding ideas and concepts of the previous article. This section usually follows the body or perhaps the afterword, and the defining part may be followed by a conclusion, concluding section, postscript, appendix/appendices, glossary, bibliography, section records, typographical errors or colophon.

Aristotle, in The Rhetoric, tells us that a good writer should do this when concluding. This is a great opportunity to make inferences or predictions or ask the audience to think about what would happen if they didn't accept our point of view by making connections with society at large.

Someone please help i failed this exam yesterday with a 44! Read the quotation by Dorothea Lange about the photo “Migrant Mother” from Years of Dust.

I saw and approached the hungry and desperate mother, as if drawn by a magnet. I do not remember how I explained my presence or my camera to her, but I do remember she asked me no questions. . . . I did not ask her name or history. She told me her age, that she was thirty-two. She said that they had been living on frozen vegetables from the surrounding fields, and birds that the children had killed. She had just sold the tires from her car to buy food. There she sat in that lean-to tent with her children huddled around her, and seemed to know that my pictures might help her, and so she helped me. There was a sort of equality about it.

How does this quotation appeal to readers’ emotions?

It appeals to readers’ delight by showing the joy of family life.
It appeals to readers’ sympathy by describing difficult times.
It appeals to readers’ fear by explaining a natural disaster.
It appeals to readers’ sense of humor by retelling a funny story.
